Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (Eucharistic Ministers) assist the priest in the distribution of Holy Eucharist and the Cup of the Precious Blood of Christ at Sunday liturgy. Training is required for his ministry.
Communion to the Sick: In addition to assisting during Communion at Mass, some Eucharistic Ministers bring the Body of Christ to our homebound parishioners as well as those in hospitals and nursing homes. Ministers take Communion to the homebound every First Friday of the month and to Moses Taylor Hospital and Skilled Nursing on the First Sunday of the month. Minister Visit to Skilled Nursing is on a rotating schedule.
