The O.C.I.A.: Do you know someone who wants to become a Catholic? Tell them about the O.C.I.A. O.C.I.A. is the process through which adults are fully initiated into the Catholic faith community.

Is the O.C.I.A. for me? If you answer yes to any of the following questions, it may b

•  Baptized as a Catholic, but have never received First Holy Communion or was never Confirmed?

•  Baptized, made First Communion, but never had any religious instruction beyond these sacraments?

•  Protestants interested in knowing Catholicism?

OCIA-Order of Christian Initiation of Adults

The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults is a community faith journey that leads to the transformation of mind, heart and spirit.  This team process is designed for adults who were never baptized, those who were baptized in another Christian Faith Community as well as for baptized Catholics who have not received Communion or Confirmation.  It begins with the “Inquiry Stage”.  You are asked to contact the Parish Office to set up a meeting with the Pastor to discuss your desire to explore the possibility of becoming a Catholic. 

CATHOLICS COMING HOME

After practicing Roman Catholics, the second largest religious grouping in our country is “fallen-away” Catholics, i.e., those who rarely or no longer practice the Faith.
